Available only in 'strictly limited quantities based on the games initial production run. After all, it couldn’t have such a rabid fan base and name recognition for no good reason. Regardless, when I saw Nicalis was bringing Cave Story to the Switch with Cave Story+, I wanted to give it another shot. Arguably the most well-known indie game of all time, Cave Story features a completely original storyline wrapped with personality, mystery and hours of fast-paced fun. Perhaps most interesting about Cave Story+s move to the Switch is the games noteworthy physical edition. Yes, Cave Story 3D introduced me to this beloved world, and while I enjoyed that experience, it didn’t hook me like I had hoped.
